General Questions

Common questions about Omni, what it does, and who it's for.

What is Omni?

Omni is your go-to for running your business. It handles customer conversations, keeps your diary, organises admin, chases payments, and answers your questions — all through conversation.

You talk to Omni the way you'd talk to a colleague. Ask it to check your orders, draft an email, schedule a meeting, or look up a customer. It connects to the tools you already use and works across all of them at once.

There's no menu to learn, no buttons to find. You just say what you need, and Omni takes care of it.

How does Omni learn about my business?

When you connect your tools — your store, calendar, email, and so on — Omni can access your real data. It pulls in your products, orders, customers, and schedule so it can give you accurate, specific answers rather than generic ones.

Omni also learns from your website content, which means it can answer customer questions based on what you've actually published. Over time, it builds up knowledge of your preferences, your goals, and how you like things done.

Is Omni suitable for my type of business?

Omni works well for product-led, ecommerce, and multi-channel businesses:

  • Online stores running WooCommerce or Shopify — you get order management, inventory tracking, sales analytics, customer intelligence, fraud detection, and more.
  • Multi-channel businesses using email, messaging, Stripe, Xero, and connected workspaces — you get customer service, follow-ups, scheduling, reporting, and payment visibility.

Both types get the full suite of shared features: email, calendar, customer-facing chat, outbound sales, and business intelligence.

If you're not sure whether Omni covers your use case, the best way to find out is to connect your tools and start asking. Most businesses are up and running within a single conversation.

What can Omni actually do?

Quite a lot. Here's a quick overview:

  • Orders and payments — check order status, chase invoices, process refunds
  • Calendar and scheduling — book meetings, manage your diary, set reminders
  • Email — read, draft, and send emails through Gmail or Outlook
  • Stock and products — check inventory, update pricing, find your best sellers
  • Customers — look up customer history, segment your audience, spot trends
  • Customer service — answer questions on your website, WhatsApp, and Instagram
  • Outbound sales — find prospects, draft personalised outreach, track responses
  • Reviews and reputation — monitor reviews, draft responses
  • Accounting — check outstanding invoices, track payments, and monitor balances through Xero

Does Omni work on mobile?

Yes. There's a native iOS app with full capabilities, including voice input and photo attachments. You can manage your business from anywhere — same features, same conversation history, no compromises.

Whether you're on site, between meetings, or away from your desk, you can check in with Omni just as easily as you would from your computer.

What languages does Omni support?

The customer-facing chat widget supports over 40 languages. It detects your customer's language automatically and responds in kind.

Business chat with Omni is primarily in English.

How long does setup take?

About 15 minutes. You sign up, connect your store or calendar, and Omni starts learning your business straight away. The more tools you connect, the more it can help with — but you don't need everything connected on day one.

Most people start with their store or calendar, have a quick conversation with Omni to make sure everything's working, and add more integrations as they go. There's no pressure to set everything up at once.

What does Omni cost?

We're in beta right now, and access is free during the beta period. We'll share pricing well before any charges begin, and you'll always have the option to export your data. No lock-in, no surprises.

What can't Omni do?

Omni works best with the tools it's connected to. It can't make phone calls, physically post items, or access systems it isn't integrated with. It sometimes gets things wrong — when it does, correct it and it gets better. If you ask for something outside its capabilities, it'll tell you honestly rather than guessing.

The more tools you connect and the more you use it, the more useful it becomes. But it's not magic — it's a very capable colleague who needs the right access to do good work.
